Requirements:
Admission into the Electrical Lineworker Program is on a selection basis for those individuals that meet the following criteria and have submitted ALL required documentation.
1. Must be at least 18 years of age by the beginning date of enrollment.
2. Must be a high school graduate or have successfully completed a GED (MUST provide official copy).
3. Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and submit the SLTC Doctor's Release form.
4. Must possess a valid driver's license.
How to Enroll:
To be placed on the class roster and confirm you for the selection process, you must submit the following:
1. Completed and signed Enrollment Agreement
2. Doctor's release form and proof of passing the DOT physical
3. Provide an official copy of your high school transcripts or your GED certificate
4. Submit a photocopy of your valid driver's license
5. Enclose payment of $765 for the prepaid lab fee and application fee make check payable SLTC.
Upon submitting the above items, potential students packages will be reviewed for acceptance into the Electrical Lineworker Program. An SLTC staff member will notify the student of his or her acceptance by mail, phone, or e-mail.

**Certifications include: Class A CDL License, NSC Flagging Certification, First-Aid/CPR Certification and OSHA 10-Hour Certification.

The Tuition is due in full the first day of class. The pre-paid lab fee and application fee must be paid to complete the enrollment process. The lab fee is non-refundable within 30 calendar days of the first day of class. Request for refund must be in writing. Refunds will be issued within 30 working days after receiving written request.
Climbing Boot & Tools:
SLTC places all orders for tools. If you currently have lineman tools please let us know so we can order only what is needed.
Medical Coverage:
SLTC strongly recommends students to have health insurance. Linework is very safe, but there are risks involved and poor physical condition, or a pre-existing injury, will increase your chance of injury. Training related injuries will not be covered by SLTC.
